In the Spring Term of 2025, we worked with ‘Talk your Walk’ to re-develop the school vision and values. Quentin and Suaia from ‘Talk Your Walk’ worked with the staff and the pupils to discover what was important to us as individuals, as a school team, and how we could work together to ensure that our vision would support everybody, and that the values would underpin it.

  • Safety and the feeling of being ‘safe’ is incredibly important in a school environment, as children can only thrive and learn within an environment they feel safe in. This may be emotionally or physically, and will be different for children with different needs, but we work closely with families and external agencies to ensure that we provide this environment for all of our pupils.
  • Having a positive attitude, and behaving in a positive manner enables children to be more successful in their lives. This starts in school, with everyday being a fresh start with a positive outlook. We know the importance of positive language and reinforcement, in order to build self-esteem in our pupils and give them the confidence to be successful.
  • It is important that we empower our pupils and families, so that they have the skills and confidence to make good choices and decisions, and be successful in their lives (both now and in the future!). We do this by creating a supportive environment, building knowledge and skills through high quality teaching, and giving children the opportunity to become independent, and practice skills that will be important to them in their future.
