Dear parents/ carers,
This has been a short term compared to the Autumn term, but as ever we have been a very busy school and the children have worked and achieved so much. The weather has also been quite challenging for us and we are all looking forward to the brighter days of the summer.
School closes at 3pm on Friday 22nd March and reopens at 8.30am on Monday 8th April to all pupils.
At the end of this term we are saying goodbye to some members of staff. Last Friday in assembly the children said thank you and farewell to Mrs Maureen Baines who has served our school community for over 40 years as a lunchtime supervisor. (I am sure many of you will remember her if you attended Redhill Junior School). We wish her all the best in her well-earned retirement.
This Friday we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Goodall who has a new position in another school. We wish her all the best for the future too.
Miss Bird is leaving this Friday, but she is leaving to have her baby and she hopes to return to school in January. We wish her all the best and look forward to meeting her little bundle of joy soon.
So, all that remains for me to say, is thank you also for your support this term. Have a good rest over the Easter break. Please encourage your children to keep reading over the break as well as hopefully enjoying some good weather outside!
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Brownlee
Head teacher
