Year 5 spent a day in Sherwood Forest; the home of Robin Hood. It was very exciting to visit the place in which of this famous legend originated from and learn lots of new facts about how the lived and why the legends were created.
Pupils were led around the forest on a 6 mile walk, learning how the outlaws would have survived in Sherwood Forest and the punishments received if they got caught. Pupils joined in with reenactments and visited the Major Oak Tree.
We also took part in an orienteering activity and build shelters in the forest.
