On Tuesday 15th March, both Year 4 classes enjoyed a wonderful trip to Ledston Estate. We spent the morning learning about different trees that can be found around our local area and the wildlife that can be found in woodland.
We then spent the afternoon on a scavenger hunt, where we walked around the estate looking for a number of different materials, such as smooth, shiny and dull materials.
We finished our day with a den building exercise! We split into teams and used all the natural materials around us to build the best shelter. Obviously, Mr Miller’s team built the best one (just don’t tell the other teams that!) Below are some pictures of our visit.
