The children at Fairburn View Primary School have dedicated two days to the Arts, where they have experienced African drumming and African dancing, created drama scenes using a picture, turned their classrooms into art galleries and sung songs from musicals. Our artist to focus on was Georges Seurat, who developed the technique Pointilism. We researched him and looked at creating our own pieces of art. These two days were to show the children how important the Arts are, how much fun they can have experiencing different aspects of the Arts and learning new skills and developing skills they already had. They have had a brilliant couple of days!
