To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, we spent today focusing on this topic and how nature can help us.
Our morning was spent discussing ways in which nature can improve our mental wellbeing, followed by planting our own sunflowers and a visit to our forest school. There was lots of discussion and we completed a range of activities – year 5 were very grown up in their response to this topic.
In the afternoon, we drew and tasted exotic fruits focusing on healthy eating and how this can help mental health. We also completed a range of team building activities including yoga which is a good way of relaxing.
