WALT – Write sentences with rhyming words
Good Morning Reception,
Well done for all of your hard work with poetry so far this week!
Today, we would like you to use the pictures from the poem to build the rhyming sentence. Have a look at Mrs Palmer’s Powerpoint for the example if you are unsure.
Try to complete the 3 sentences on the worksheet. If you are finding it tricky, then just do as much as you can. Don’t worry about drawing out the worksheet, just write the sentences on a piece of paper, like you would in your book at school.
If your child is really struggling with the writing in this task, you could get them to tell you the sentence and then overwirite your writing, or you could write out the sentence on pieces of paper (a word on each piece of paper) and see if your child can order the sentence.
If you would like to challenge yourself, see if you can underline the rhyming words in each sentence.
Remember to upload your work so that we can see your fantastic writing.
