This afternoon all of Year One enjoyed taking part in our science experiment afternoon.
We had 5 bottles of coke and different substances to put inside them. We made our predictions about what we thought would happen and then we went outside to take part in the experiment. The children loved to see how the coke reacted differently to each substance.
The children then wrote up their results. The coke didn’t react to the water. The coke curdled when it had milk put inside. The coke fizzed quite a lot when it had Mentos put inside. There wasn’t much of a reaction when we put toothpaste inside. The biggest reaction was to the salt, where it erupted!
The children then wrote up their evaluation.
