We love using our den and camping area when we work outside but this week we have been using fabrics and chairs and boxes to try and make our own bear cave, just like the one in our story.
Can you work with a grown up at home to make your own bear cave? Maybe you could have a story in there or even have your dinner in your cave.
This activity allows our children to use their imagination but also problem solve. They will discuss what they need to use and overcome problems when the den will not stay together, finding different methods for attaching materials. They will also think about what their cave needs such as an entrance or windows for example.
