English: Creating a text map

As you know, in school we remember our texts using pictures and actions. The text maps help us to remember the sequence of the story, key words and also the punctuation we need to create sentences that make sense.

Today, what we would like you to do, is have a go at creating your very own text map to help you remember and retell The Dark, Dark Night story. Just like in school, read the first sentence and then think about what picture/words will help you remember it. Don’t forget to include punctuation.
Use ours to help you and give you ideas, but ultimately create your own so that YOU understand it.

Keep your text map safe once you have completed it – you will need it again tomorrow.

Have fun little artistic frogs!
