Today year 5 travelled to Sherwood Forest – the home of Robin Hood – as part of their English topic. Upon arrival, they met Robin Hood himself, who explained what life was like 800 years ago, when this legend was alive. Students took part in two exciting activities: the first was a walk through the forest listening to stories of this brave hero and finding the Great Oak Tree. The second was a team building activity – students had to create a shelter using natural resources.
Student behaviour was excellent and their knowledge impressed Robin Hood – Well done year 5, we are looking forward to reading some of these ideas in your writing.
